Best Tacos Pensacola
Let’s taco ‘bout tacos … SORRY, we just had to.
Down here on the Gulf Coast, we love tacos. Whether you prefer corn tortillas or flour, tacos reign supreme. (You can even order a supreme taco … coincidence? We think not.) Since we’re so loco for tacos, just about everywhere serves them. Don’t stress out — we know where to find the best.
The only thing better than chilling at the ‘best backyard on the beach’ is having tacos in said backyard. Whether you are in the mood for chicken, steak or fish fresh from the Gulf, Red Fish Blue Fish tacos are bursting with flavor.
Load up on fresh tacos with catch straight from the Gulf of Mexico … while enjoying views of the Gulf of Mexico. Casino has fresh catch fish and shrimp tacos, or pork tacos for the carnivores in the group.
You don’t have to go south of the border to find authentic tacos. (But you do have to leave the beach.) Taco Rock has traditional Mexican street tacos on the cheap. Don’t expect any frills or fuss here. On Tuesdays, hard shell tacos are just $1.
Located inside Waterboyz, a surf and skate shop, Single Fin Cafe was born to keep hungry skaters and locals fed and happy. The tacos are fresh, full of flavor and super affordable. Following a plant-based diet? They even have some vegan tacos available. Did we mention there’s an indoor skatepark behind the kitchen? Bring your board, and shred with the locals.
Looking to head downtown? Taco Agave on Palafox has a huge selection of tacos with influences from all over the globe. All of their tacos pair nicely with one of their delicious margaritas. Taco Tuesday is half-priced signature cocktails and select tacos. (Taco ‘bout love at first sight.)
Al Fresco is a cluster of food trucks … that never move. It’s actually more of an Airstream, but we won’t nitpick. Anyway, Calavera Tacos at Al Fresco has some pretty gnarly tacos, ranging from slow roasted carnitas to fresh mahi mahi. All of the seating is outdoors (or ‘al fresco’), but there are umbrellas and misters to keep you cool.
The Pensacola Beach Boardwalk is a pretty happenin’ spot. Cactus Flower has authentic California style street tacos with fresh cilantro, onions, lime and special sauce. There are plenty of places to sit outside on the boardwalk. People watching gets interesting the lower the sun gets. So grab a taco and enjoy.
