There’s a lot of buff people on the beach — shout out to our boy Larry at the lifeguard shack! 😉 But if you’re more of a history buff, we can dig it. (Is there an archaeology joke in there?) Bushwackers are kind of our thing in Pensacola. If you’re scratching your head already, a Bushwacker is basically a chocolate milkshake … with a big kick. It’s got rum, Kahlúa, Crème de Cacao and a few other ingredients that vary depending on where you grab one. Almost every bartender will ask you if you want an extra shot, which is widely accepted as a no-brainer among locals. (You’re on vacation, get the extra shot!) We know all of the hottest spots for Pensacola’s coolest drink.
Livin’ on the Gulf Coast means happiness is pretty easy to come by, but that doesn’t mean we don’t love a good happy hour as much as the next town. If you want to know where the locals go to grin for an hour or two, add these to your list.
We think the shore is swell. And when we’re not being comedians about it, we’re probably at one of these places.
If shoving a big juicy burger in your mouth is your idea of a good time, we want to party with you. Not following our burger guide would be the biggest mistake of your life.
